Morpholio Trace - Sketch CAD App Reviews

Im an interior designer who has always been an advocate of hand architectural drawing and the app is truly productive for concept development and design process sketching. I am even using it for preliminary and final design illustration. Looking forward to the development of a marker color system for the app. Im impressed! Great support. I enjoy the morpholio apps and the great features you have added since its inception.

This app keeps getting better - making your own stencils creates so many possibilties. The drawings always come out with a really beautiful and unique tone.

This app works fine and offers a good tool too work with. but if you want to change things you have to pay for it...new colors 0,89c new brushes 0,89c etc. Hey devolpers, why this moneymaking system? Take some money for your app and dont make us pay for every function in your app...only 2 stars...makes me sad see this greedy for money

for sketching down ideas and working on them through continuous layers. Great implementation with the other morpholio apps. Basic tools, not overloaded, helps to stay focused instead of going through endless possibilities and UI. What to improve: - the behaviour of the pencil stroke, its not so smooth as it should be, especially when zooming in! - zooming in. Its getting totally in the way if i can not pinch to zoom, instead i have to select the zooming tool?! - croping the size of an image before importing it, so i can just use the wanted section of the image

This app is simply excellent for developing ideas, communicating them visually, and also making markups (red lines) to PDF / CAD DRAWINGS. I very much enjoy the ability to change the colors of the paper, and am very impressed by the scale tools and ability to set the scale of the ruler visually. It is a very interesting convergence between the precision of CAD and the looseness of sketching. Drawing with an apple pencil on an iPad pro with this software is a true pleasure for architects ... So why four stars? (Update: March 2016: layers can be moved at will - thanks & sorry I missed that before...) Otherwise> The major problem is the resolution of imported PDF files - why is this so low, especially on an iPadPro?? It should be possible to pull in PDFs as in vector format, or otherwise to choose a high resolution import solution. Further areas which could be improved to move to 5 stars: 1. It would be great if there was an easier way to make straight lines without only using the skeumorphic ruler every time. 2. We should be able to define new line types & create our own stencils 3. The drawing tools - with the Apple Pencil - are not as flexible and material as with other drawing software, such as with Apple Notes...perhaps it would be possible to use the engine from notes, to share the "feeling" of the pencil across software...? Notably, it seems that there is not recognition of angle when holding the Apple Pencil. This would be a great improvement, too...But then, it would really start to be perfect. Dangerously so...

Decent app which has some nice features. Needs the ability to zoom and throw away select trace layers. Some sketches I simply do not want to trace over again and just want to get rid of them.

Trace is cool app for architects. Easy to do overlays and quick sketches.

One measure of software is how well it works. Trace is really a great app with a friendly hand drawing feel. As a landscape architect I find it very useful for site analysis. Take a few photos to cover the area then make notes on the trace levels. Can’t be beat for ease of use and future reference. The other measure of software is its support. I noticed that I had lost access to some useful templates I had purchased and could not figure out how to get them back. This is on New Year’s eve afternoon. I contacted support and surprisingly had an answer back in about an hour. Good suggestions on how to resolve issue and it is done.

Great app thats highly recommended. Hopefully the developer continues to add functionality and features.

I first used this app in 2012 and commented that it needed updates. Man did you listen! I love the updates youve made. Can hardly wait for my iPad Pro with Pencil. Im sold!

Every designer is responsible for dementions. Therefore, we zoom in/out all the time. The thinnest lines tend to be dots as I zoom in. I guess that comes from pixel base rendering system which is the bese of this app. What about using vector base rendering? Then, export the data into pixel base jpg or PDF files.

Good start but it needs a different color palette ( green, brown) abd more pens. It would be great to zoom

Six whole reviews. And Im supposed to open accont just to see if the thing even works. Maybe it does, but I aint gonna find out. If youve got something worth buying, simply sell it in the app store and give the customer an opportunity to see if its any good, instead of just trying to set a hook. DELETE

So far Im loving this app! Just have a quick suggestion, I need to be able to have folders in order to organized my "projects" per job. It is getting very cluttered with all of them mixed together....if this could be in the next update that would awesome. Thx.

90% of the tools locked ( should buy) , and the rest 10% are not what I imagined, its not helpful at all .

The app started off very good. It has several nice features that I like as an architectural designer. Unfortunately, after not using it for many months, I went back to use it and now it keeps crashing. Not sure why? I checked for updates and I do have the latest version. Anyway, overall, its OK.

This thing is a Money Dump! This should not be on App Store! A useful tool, yes, but be aware everything costs extra, each time you use it!! This is a scam app that charges for every single tool repeatedly, and keeps NO record of past purchases!! Just an honest warning!

It was nice just being able to open the app and get to work. Now we have to get accounts and emails involved? This app has become the creepy coworker who cant take a hint.

I want to use an application, not log in to a service!
