Ich kann der vorstehenden Rezension von Duy100100 nur zustimmen. Nachdem ich mir im April dieses Jahres die App nebst 16 In-App-Käufen (a 0,99 Cent) auf das iPad geladen habe, war ich schlichtweg begeistert und habe in meiner Begeisterung diese App an Design- und Architekturstudenten weiterempfohlen. Mittlerweile habe ich auf die App keinen Zugriff mehr, da ich eben so wenig bereit bin, mich bei Facebook einzuloggen oder per Email-Adresse anzumelden. Die ausgesprochenen Weiterempfehlungen kann ich leider nicht mehr rückgängig machen - weitere wird es jedoch von mir nicht mehr geben.

Stiftbreiten ändern sich mit dem Zoom! Beim zeichnen für mich absolut unbrauchbar, schade.

Ich habe lange nach einer solchen App gesucht, und endlich gefunden. Besonders seit ich mir das iPad Pro besorgt habe. Die Notizen App von Apple macht es vor, mit einer grandiosen Funktion eines Lineals. Diese App macht es nach. Gut aber noch nicht perfekt. Es ist zu kompliziert, zu unübersichtlich. Ich werde versuchen mich ein wenig mit der App anzufreunden und die Funktionen kennenzulernen. Ich würde mich jedoch auf mehr Übersichtlichkeit freuen. Das ist dringend nötig. Professionell, architektonisch zeichnen ist damit noch nicht möglich - und ich als Bauzeichner weiß, wie man richtig zeichnet. Unbedingt Hilfe von Architekten dazuholen und versuchen die App noch besser zu machen. Dafür darf man dann auch gerne ein wenig Geld verlangen.

Zielgruppe Architekten und dann wird ein importiertes PDF aus Archicad pixelbasiert....... Schlechter geht es nicht, da sind graphics, pdf expert oder goodreader um meilen besser, da bleibt die Vorlage vectorbasiert und lässt sich auch anständig zoomen. Nur die Arbeitsoberfläche ist gut, dafür dann den einen Stern. Dass man sich anmelden muss, nur um dies festzustellen ist auch negativ

An sich eine gute App. aber nicht mit diesen Optionen monatlich. o. jährliche Zahlung! Wenn dann nur einmal Zahlung

I use this app for concept design & sketching of buildings & other than structures. I’m currently learning how to use more advanced tools in the app. It is perfect for the way I like to design.

I have this app and use it all the time for my work as a landscape architect. Sketching has never been so easy and quick!

This WAS a great app, the latest releases is terrible. Bugs galore….. Remove great features like tap to rotate ruler, obviously no one at morpholio was ever a draftsman or architect. Thus used to be my go to app and now it is barely usable……

I downloaded the free version to see if it was worth buying. I started two different projects, putting in a few hours total. After noticing a recent app update, I went to check on my projects, and the pages are blank. The underlying original graphics are there, but all my work is gone. I notified Morpholio about this on March 18 (it’s now April 4). I received a pro forma email telling me to not delete the program, make sure iCloud storage is on (it has been and still is), and asked to make sure iOS is up to date (it is — I’m on an M1 iPad Pro as well). The said they’d contact me personally in 48 hours — it’s been 408 hours actually, with no response. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing the app. Hopefully my review will save others the frustration I have experienced. UPDATE: 2 years + later, the developer reached out and asked if I’d consider updating my review. Here it is—too little, too late.

The app does nothing until you create an account. Not sure why they keep lying about this. They asked me _again_ to update my review so here is my update: I understood you were lying to me before and nothing has changed. I still can’t use the app at all without making an account. I would give it zero stars if I could. Does “Continue with Apple” create an account? Yes. If you tap that button, you get the Apple sheet that says “Create an account for Trace using your Apple Account.” So yeah, it is creating an account. (And launching the app stops any music you were listening to because apparently an animated musical intro is what drawing apps need.) The developer is trying to make me believe that you “100% do not need to create an account” if you use the “Continue with Apple” options. Yes, you can create an account using a fake name but you are still creating an account. Yes, you can create an account while hiding your email address but you are still creating an account. Yes, you can create an account with a fake name and email address but you know what you can’t do? You can’t use the app at all without creating an account.

This is the ONLY app I’ve ever seen that plays an indulgent ten second clip at the beginning, WITH MUSIC if it wasn’t already bad enough. What an awful and confusing user experience.

I tried this app years ago, and it didn’t live up to my expectations, but now: WOW! Multiple viewpoints to draw from, with vanishing points already available for your 3d. You can scan a room and apply a color scheme, import 3d models and photos, apply trace layers and multiple other layers. I can’t say enough good about this app, and they have the very best YouTube tutorials. With its smart ruler, variable triangle, and protractor, your scaled drawings will always be as perfect as you.

Great app, use it all the time, but two fatal flows so far - it often bugs out on pdfs, i.e. reads a portion of a pdf if it contains an image and does not read any acrobat markups. And drains iPad battery mercilessly

I was granted an student discount, but the link expired when I tried to use it. I contacted them through their website (they don’t have a phone number or email) and nobody responded/solved my issue.

Morpholio Trace has become my go-to app for everything from taking field measurements for new projects to concepting out new floorplans or doing perspective drawings. They are constantly improving the app. The one thing I really wish it could do is sync between devices as I sometimes work on an iPad mini when I don’t want to carry around my iPad Pro M4…

I do radon testing and for our reports we need to draw the foot prints of the property we are testing. I tried out a lot of apps and this one by far was the best. I’ve been using it for 2 years and I use the app every day. Without this app I don’t know what I would do. Keep the great updates coming!

As an architect I have integrated into my workflow, it’s very useful for sketching out ideas and also using at meetings

My yard does not follow a perfect rectangle on a x/y plane. This app is largely useless for me as it’s trying to snap everything to perfectly vertical or horizontal lines. This is preventing me from getting proper boundary lines setup and, in turn, building anything representative of my yard. Less frustrating, but annoying the pencil and layer trays cannot be hidden. I find they’re at nearly the worst spot on the left and right side of the screen. UPDATE: Developer’s suggested fix does not fix the issue. I need like 2 degrees of angle. I have infinite adjustment until I get to 4 degrees. Then it snaps to 0.

I learned about Morpholio Trace in a class I took with Lisa Nunamaker. I finally had time to delve into all the tutorials and videos available online. It has changed everything about how I design. I no longer hand color or hand draw my final designs. It saves me a wealth of time for every project! Revisions are so much easier! It is worth every minute it took to learn.

EVEN THE BASICS ARE EASY TO MANAGE. AS AN INTERIOR DESIGNER IT HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL TO BE ABLE TO WORK ON TOP OF A BLUEPRINT TO MAKE CHANGES , MEASURE AREAS, AND DO A LAYOUT. I ALSO APPRECIATE ALL THE VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS.

Thank you for a wonderful program! My only requests are to add an airbrush to the types of drawing options as it provides better color washes. Additionally, the ability to 3D orbit over a drawing and apply a perspective grid would enable users to create oblique aerial perspective sketches.

I use Trace weekly it helps me convey the message to my client and our installation teams of what the final products both to look like.

I am one of thousands satisfied user Architect of morpholio trace. One thing that I need is the scale, please please if you could make it look exactly like architect’s scale in market where each side have 4 scales, like 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 inch & so forth, present magic scale confuses me as I am new user and having used AutoCAD & Revit I find my self struggling. Hope that’s not too much to ask.

I currently rate this app with Fivestars because it is the best I have found on the market at the price point they offer. it is also really a great App! It is only a few years old and it is not marketed nor produced by some big tech company and for that, I award them five stars. Of course, there are some challenges in usability for me as a landscape designer (not enough variety of landscape materials, inability to adjust pattern size relative to the object that is being patterned, popping the length of a curved line for length) but the program makes up for these merits with ease of editing, number of layers available, the magic ruler, and a few other things. I recommend this sketching app with my highest recommendation. I have tried a few and been very disappointed, especially for how much I paid for them. One more thing… The BEST customer service that I have experienced in purchasing apps! I have asked some technical questions and made a number of suggestions for improvement. The tech team has been quickly responsive to my issues and added my suggestions to their list of improvements, which are happening every month or so. Really, I could ask for nothing more… Except to stick to it and keep on improving. 🥰

This apps help my design sketches bring in a new level. Easy to learn and easy to use. I struggle few features but I managed to get it right. Highly recommended!!

While this isn’t a parametric program, it does strike a great balance between sketching/artistic representation and drafting. It’s a huge value for the subscription cost. I also use it professionally with commercial building projects.

Amazing app for architecture and completely revolutionized my workflow. And I t keeps getting better with updates!

The layers tab is super hard to read, especially for text layers

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to write this one. I have to be honest, I’ve own Morpholio for years and I’ve played around with it but never thought it would work for my needs. I own a design build firm and I’ve been searching for a software that I can use in the field without bringing my laptop. I purchased my third iPad and Apple Pencil, so I thought I’d give Morpholio another try since my subscription just renewed. I watched a few videos and having been doing CAD for almost 30 years everything just fell into place and I have to say I am loving it, it is truly a game changer. I have drawn up several floorplans and now I am playing with the 3-D functions. I feel like I can be totally mobile now, whether I am on site or traveling, I don’t need to lug around my laptop anymore. I can highly recommend this software for anyone who is on the fence, especially if you are a design professional always on the go.

I believe this is the first review I have written for an app. Morpholio Trace is truly a comprehensive and powerful tool for design. As an architect, I have been using the app around the globe on my iPad, for several years It's also great for writing notes, brainstorming, conceptualizing schedules, things to do, etc.

Every so often I am introduced to a new app or technology that is so game changing that it becomes an indispensable tool. Morpholio Trace is one of those apps. I am a principal architect at a small firm specializing in custom residential architecture. About 7 years ago I bought an iPad Pro and committed to working paperless. I have a small arsenal of strategic apps that help me achieve this goal. Morpholio Trace was the last piece I had been searching for. It is by far the best app for an architect to hand draw digitally. As a principal in our studio, I do a lot of drawing review and marking up…Trace is hands down the best tool for this. One of my favorite features is the Super Ruler which allows you to measure and draw straight lines exactly like a physical scale or ruler. Another great tool allows you to import a 3D digital model and sketch over it in perspective. I can go on and on, but one last thing to mention is how great the Morpholio support team is if you have questions or a problem…they are extremely responsive.

I just realized that I’ve been using Trace for 12 years. I’ve gone through a lot of other apps it that time, some have lasted, some not, but Trace has stayed my favorite. Trace is my main reason to own an iPad. One of the beautiful things about the iPad is that there are dozens of great drawings apps. Dozens more pro level apps than any other platform. Everyone who draws can find one which works best for them. For me it’s Morpholio Trace because it has the perfect balance of power features without getting in the way. It’s not cluttered or drowning you in features you don’t need. As an architect, it really works the way I work. The ruler, the layers, the colors, and obviously the drawing tools are spot on. The killer features, which makes this irreplaceable is being able to start from the map… and automatically have the scale set correctly. Priceless. The one time that an upgrade broke things for me (about 2 years ago) customer service was excellent and an update fixed the issue quickly. Thank you for over a decade of professional level tools!

I use Morpholio almost every day! I use it to mark up drawings, sketch out concepts, doodle, ponder. The app has evolved since I first got it, and continues to get better.

I have exclusively used Trace for almost two years for all sketching and drawing markups. It is a game changer. Constantly improving.

I love the latest update however I miss being able to see the super scale ruler in feet. I don’t like having to do mental conversions from inches to feet with the super scale ruler. Please give us back feet OR give us the option to choose between feet and inches. In addition, it would be great to be able to have a bigger/larger view of the stencils & to be able to search the stencils. It is so hard to see the stencils, especially on a smaller iPad like iPad Mini. Lastly, I would love cloud storage so that I can work on a project from my larger iPad Pro 12.9” when I am in the office and then be able to do edits/revisions on my iPad Mini when I am out in the feild! Please consider adding these three things as soon as possible, it would be a huge help to us using this app daily and using it on site across multiple devices.

what’s the use if I can’t export these great to-scale drawings at any decent resolution? frustrating.

This is really an excellent app overall. Although there is room for improvement, nothing is perfect and I use it daily for mark ups and redlines. The texting and dimensioning tools can be frustrating, but for sketching it’s great. I would also like to see some snap capability. I highly recommend it. Let’s call it a 4.5 review.

No issues I love it

Morpholio kept crashing and a friend asked how old my iPad was. Yep! That was the problem. So today I picked up an iPad. The Apple guy and I set out to transfer stuff. Everything went well until we got to Morpholio. When we opened the app, it was empty. We realized my drawings were on my iPad, not in the app. The drawings also aren’t stored in the cloud. We looked it up online and found that you have to export your files, but you have to export each FILE. You cannot export the entire FOLDER of files all at once, so you have to open the folder and select the file then hit ‘export’. And when you export the files, you can’t mass export. Of course, this could be because I have limited storage left, but who buys a new iPad when they have tons of storage available? (And yes, I removed tons of apps to clear space and checked updates). The most I can Airdrop without the app crashing is 4. When I get my 4 to transfer, they go into my downloads file, then need to be imported into Morpholio. Importing means One. File. At A. Time, because I can’t batch select in the downloads and move them into the new iPad (with tons of storage) all at once. When they do finally get into M, they just land in a general spot and THEN need to be moved into their specific folder. I have about 25 projects filled with drawings in my old iPad, so about 200 individual files that need to be exported/imported through about 6-7 different steps to get Morpholio set up in my new iPad. I feel like I’m back in 1998 when the Internet was brand new and hardly did anything. So, before downloading Morpholio, go get the newest iPad with the most storage you can find so you have enough time for Morpholio to get their act together and create a way to make this easy, because it legit can’t be any more difficult. As much as I love the app, I’m really, really angry and frustrated right now. Easy transfer to a new iPad should have been a *basic* app development objective before it ever went live in the marketplace— especially since it eats so much memory. And to those of you about to go on this excruciatingly painful exercise— my condolences and you’re not alone. There is no excuse for this.

Love it! I’m a Contractor and make a lot of my own built-ins. I’m able to quickly sketch ideas and help my client visualize the concept.

Morpholio is a great tool that I use in my professional practice. It’s an easy tool to quickly get your ideas drawn out but what makes it great are the tools within the app such as the measuring tools and many others.

It won’t let me do anything
